Amiibos… Plastic little figures with specialized chips in
them to interact with your games. The effects they provide vary from figure to
figure and game to game. And while I really do like the idea of collecting
little figures of your favorite Nintendo icons (because, really, will there
ever be a chance for a Marth, Ness, or Villager figure after this?), I can’t
help but feel like Amiibos are ultimately a bad thing. Perhaps it’s because I’m
jaded on the fact that a Ganondorf Amiibo still doesn’t exist and, at this
rate, may likely never see the light of day. But I like to think my opinions on
Amiibo aren’t entirely based on selfish desires to own a figure of the true
dark lord of our times. #istandwithganondorf

Reloading: Naruto (The Manga Series) Review
It’s been a few weeks since the end of the long-running
Manga series, Naruto and I just
realized I haven’t done a single post about it at all. I feel like I’ve let
myself down a bit as Naruto was, at
one point, probably my favorite anime/manga because I enjoyed the world,
characters, lore, and fighting styles they created. All that said… how was the
ending? Now that the series is over, does it all feel like a complete and
well-crafted story or does it all fall apart?
That’s right… it’s review time!

BulletPoints - The Problems with Early Access
This is a topic I’m sure many of you have seen elsewhere and
discussed a great deal. But since I have yet to weigh in on the topic and I
want to keep the blog-posts rolling, why not discuss my take on Early Access
games?

BulletPoints: Smash Bros 3DS: You Probably Already Bought It
I already did a first impressions from the demo and I know a
review of the game is absolutely pointless. No matter what negative reviews
exist for it, if you have a 3DS already or any inclination to play Smash Bros, regardless of platform or
graphics, you will have already bought, beaten, and possibly even returned to
Gamestop your copy of Super Smash Bros
3DS before this review has gone up. And while that is probably the case, my
goal isn’t to review it and tell you that you shouldn’t buy it. Instead, this
is more like a review explaining what I like and don’t like and why I’m
ultimately more interesting in the WiiU offering scheduled for later this year.
There’s your preface, now segway into the “review”.
