The Majestic Twelve - DLC Ideas for Smash Bros WiiU/3DS

Recent news came out in regards to Sakurai’s decision about DLC after Mewtwo. While fans don’t seem to agree 100% on what he means, the exact phrasing I’ve been told is that, “We have nothing planned as far as DLC.” This doesn’t mean there WON’T be DLC sometime down the road. Articles generally all seem to agree that Mewtwo is going to be Nintendo’s and Sakurai’s experiment with DLC in Smash to see how that goes first before committing to anything further.

And while I commend them and their reasoning for doing so (not wanting to make people feel they cut content from the game to BE DLC), I can safely say that the game is chalk-full of content that such a worry comes off as nothing more than silly at this point. But still, I would like to know that while nothing is solidly PLANNED for DLC that Sakurai at least has SOME idea of what he might want to do for future content updates. Below are my top twelve ideas of what I’d like to see as far as content updates/DLC goes. Directly… to you.

Reloading: Super Smash Bros WiiU: The Definitive Edition

With Smash Bros WiiU now out and about, I’ve finally had my chance to play the darn thing. As you can expect, here’s my review. Yes, I know, pointless because you either already knew you wanted it and bought it (like I did) or you don’t own a WiiU and never wanted one to begin with so you don’t have it. There are some of you in the middle this review might be for… But I’m not expecting those people will go out seeking this blog to see a review by some random guy on this game they’re on the fence about.

BulletPoints: Smash Bros 3DS: You Probably Already Bought It

I already did a first impressions from the demo and I know a review of the game is absolutely pointless. No matter what negative reviews exist for it, if you have a 3DS already or any inclination to play Smash Bros, regardless of platform or graphics, you will have already bought, beaten, and possibly even returned to Gamestop your copy of Super Smash Bros 3DS before this review has gone up. And while that is probably the case, my goal isn’t to review it and tell you that you shouldn’t buy it. Instead, this is more like a review explaining what I like and don’t like and why I’m ultimately more interesting in the WiiU offering scheduled for later this year. There’s your preface, now segway into the “review”.

Reloading: Behind the Smashing (Part 1)

With Smash Bros 4 around the corner and the demo now available widely to EVERYONE, I thought I’d have some fun with today’s topic. As some may know, some characters have been cut from the roster. And while this genuinely upsets people, I like to poke fun of the situation by making fun little stories for the series. As such, here are my stories for why some characters were cut and why others were able to make returns. None of these are obviously serious, but do try to enjoy. :D
