Majestic Twleve - Favorite Faces From The Simpsons

Lately I’ve been a bit on a Simpsons kick. And while I don’t think I could accurately list all 12 of my favorite episodes (because picking a solid twelve of near 600 episodes is almost as difficult as picking a solid twelve of near 700 Pokemon) I can certainly pick characters that I enjoy seeing from time to time. If a character you like didn’t get mentioned, don’t feel bad, there are plenty I would love to have listed, but these are the supporting characters (so not the main family) that I really have enjoyed throughout the series.

Majestic Twelve - Boss Battles of Dark Souls 2

Earlier this week, we put up our review for Dark Souls 2, which you can find right HERE. Assuming you've already read the review or played the game, the following shouldn't be a surprise. Here are the top twelve bosses we had fun fighting in Dark Souls 2. If they didn't make the cut, I either managed to skip them somehow or they're in the DLC and I haven't gotten to DLC (at the time of writing). Let’s get started!

Majestic Twelve: Favorite Pokemon

Once again, we find ourselves talking about a game that can be played competitively but our list isn’t subject simply to the rules of competitive play. This will be the start of our best and worst lists for POKEMON. Kicking things off, we’ll be talking about the top twelve BEST Pokemon in the series These are just solely my opinion and not all reasons behind them are based on competitive play but also personal preference or any special/significant meaning beyond the stats. Because Pokemon are more than just numbers… to me anyway. It was the first game I ever owned and beat and that’s something special in ways that can’t be expressed with just statistics and tiers.

Weekly Recap 1/31/15

Goood morning everyone! I get the week is a busy time with work, school, criminal activity, and wanking. So I thought, out of the kindness of my heart and for your convenience, I would put together a recap of the posts throughout the week (complete with links for the full picture). Enjoy!

Majestic Twelve - Games of 2014

Many argue 2014 was a bad year for games. And I suppose that really depends on who you ask. I found many worthwhile indie games from Hand of Fate to Shovel Knight were coming out and I couldn't even get to them all. I found the Xbone actually had games on it (though I still haven't bought the damn thing). It was a good year for Platinum as they had three different titles release this year (though one was just a PC port, still counts). Telltale had a good year with three games coming out this year as well (two having concluded and the third just starting). And this was an excellent year for Nintendo with many great games worth owning a WiiU for.
Yes, many games did get delayed into 2015, which sucks. But I actually liked that because it lessened the stress on my wallet during the holiday shopping season. And some of those titles are filling up the early spring games drought that we usually get nothing released in. It's a blessing in disguise that few are thinking ahead for (as usual). All that said, let's get to the best offerings of 2014 (As decided by me). And because I said so, these must be true and if you disagree, you're probably wrong and maybe even some kind of racist (though probably not).

Majestic Twelve: Best Comic Book Movies Ever

Comic-book and super hero movies are probably Hollywood’s biggest commodity at this point in time give the overwhelming success of the popular Avengers franchise. And while other studios (Sony, Fox, and Warner) are desperately trying to get their hands on that cashflow with their super hero franchises, Marvel is still dominating… for now. So here’s a valid question… what are the best comic-book-super-hero movies we’ve seen thus far?

Majestic Twelve: Best Ideas of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006

Sonic the Hedgehog just released a new game this past week. And while I'd love to play and review that, the budget is a little tight at the moment between having just bought Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros 3DS with Smash Bros WiiU and possibly Pokemon later this month. So Sonic will have to wait unless the reviews are extremely good for either the 3DS or the WiiU Sonic Boom games (but I'm not entirely expecting that).
So instead of talking about either Sonic Boom game, let's shit on Sonic 2006 instead. Because if we truly want better Sonic games (like Generations and Colors) we need to look back at the games that were truly terrible and learn the lessons from those as to WHY they were terrible. Enjoy!

Majestic Twelve - Best Fighters of Smash Bros

Continuing out Top 12 lists of all things Smash, I thought we’d have fun with a character list with the best and worst. Again, much like the top stages, this isn’t solely based on competitive reasoning. How the character plays, my personal preferences, and references to the characters original games all help in this decision. While I can’t legitimately use characters from Smash 4, I can reference Mega Man and Villager as they are playable in the demo, so I can actually provide input there.

Majestic 12 - Best and Worst of Avatar: The Last Airbender

Recently, I was turned to the Nostalgia Critic for a top 11 worst episodes of all time for Avatar: Last Airbender, with the caveat that none of the episodes are necessarily “bad” but just not as good as the others. Regardless, I feel he made some adequate points on some (like Great Divide or Painted Lady) but less adequate points on others The Swamp or Boiling Rock). That said, a top 11 best episodes will be out soon (likely before this goes live). In the spirit of all things Avatar while waiting for the final season of Legend of Korra to release, let’s give my Top 12 Best AND Worst in one post (in lieu of a review).
