Time to get another review out of the way and I think this
week I’ll finally get around to reviewing Splatoon
unless something else happens to keep me from doing so. If this is online,
obviously nothing happened, but feel free to imagine me looking around for some
kind of “review attacker” who is trying to keep me from posting this. Let’s get
this show on the roller!

BulletPoints - Lessons of E32015
So let’s talk about E3. I know that was all last week’s
stuff. But today’s episode isn’t so much about the glory of the things to come
from E3, but the things we should have learned from this year’s E3. For, you
see, I’ve viewed this event for some time as a burlesque show to give us sights
we want, but are mostly things we cannot touch (unless you’re so privileged to
go and have the time/passes to do so). Let’s talk about all the pretty things
we’ve seen and what we’ve learned from what we saw (or didn’t see) this year at
E3.

E3-Way Podcast - Nintendo 2015
And to round out our list and finish our E3-Centric videos, here comes Nintendo. Where we talk about the exciting games like Metroid Federation Force... and the not-Four-Swords multiplayer-Zelda game. Hooray!

BulletPoints - How to Three-Way Podcast
Today on BulletPoints
I’m going to outline the rules I try to follow when picking news blurbs for our
podcast. Please note that I’m not the only one who suggests stories for the
podcast, as Nicole does as well. Likewise, any member of the team is welcome to
suggest stories if they like. Longer members obviously have more say than newer
members on what can stay in the podcast and what can’t. And more priority is
given to topics related to topics discussed in the podcast already (such as
holiday-related podcasts or big events like Avengers
or the death of Monty Oum). That being said, let’s get started.

Three-Way Podcast #46 - Shiny Old Quagsire
Hello! Good morning! So I've noticed the blog has fallen behind a bit. If you are someone who has kept up with us on our YouTube Channel, then you're fine. But if you never migrated over there or only check here, then I sincerely apologize. It's just one of those things that, once we got busy, I didn't realize I had been neglecting it.
To make up for it, I've decided to come over here and get all of our latest content up on the E-Vac Blog this morning. I'll also be getting it on our Steam Page as well. We getting to a point where the E-Vac Station Brand is going to be exploding everywhere in hopes to push our subscribers and views to new levels. We can only do so with your help. Please be sure to like, share, comment, and subscribe. Thank you!
This week in the podcast, we talk about Marvel and DC moves, Godzilla, Ghostbusters, Old games, Nintendo, Don Mattrick, and Turkish dudes making robots. Now with 90% less Robo-Satan!

BulletGanon - Amiibo Crisis 2015
Amiibos… Plastic little figures with specialized chips in
them to interact with your games. The effects they provide vary from figure to
figure and game to game. And while I really do like the idea of collecting
little figures of your favorite Nintendo icons (because, really, will there
ever be a chance for a Marth, Ness, or Villager figure after this?), I can’t
help but feel like Amiibos are ultimately a bad thing. Perhaps it’s because I’m
jaded on the fact that a Ganondorf Amiibo still doesn’t exist and, at this
rate, may likely never see the light of day. But I like to think my opinions on
Amiibo aren’t entirely based on selfish desires to own a figure of the true
dark lord of our times. #istandwithganondorf

BulletPoints - Waiting for DLC to Evolve
Have you heard of Evolve?
It’s an asymmetrical 5-player co-op/versus game in which four friends face off
against a big monster on one of several different maps. The concept itself is
cool, basically turning the Tank battles from Left 4 Dead into a full game. On top of that, the game looks
visually impressive and trailers make it seem fun to play. But why can’t I get
more excited for this game? I’m losing my shit over Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon,
GTAV for PC, and Might No 9. But, while everything about Evolve would normally flip my triggers, I’m just not entirely
bursting my pants with joy.

Majestic Twelve - Games of 2014
Many argue 2014 was a bad year for games. And I suppose that really depends on who you ask. I found many worthwhile indie games from Hand of Fate to Shovel Knight were coming out and I couldn't even get to them all. I found the Xbone actually had games on it (though I still haven't bought the damn thing). It was a good year for Platinum as they had three different titles release this year (though one was just a PC port, still counts). Telltale had a good year with three games coming out this year as well (two having concluded and the third just starting). And this was an excellent year for Nintendo with many great games worth owning a WiiU for.
Yes, many games did get delayed into 2015, which sucks. But I actually liked that because it lessened the stress on my wallet during the holiday shopping season. And some of those titles are filling up the early spring games drought that we usually get nothing released in. It's a blessing in disguise that few are thinking ahead for (as usual). All that said, let's get to the best offerings of 2014 (As decided by me). And because I said so, these must be true and if you disagree, you're probably wrong and maybe even some kind of racist (though probably not).

BulletPoints: PC Sanctuary - Exclusionary Gaming Continued
An interesting new debate has sparked that is similar to
console wars and rather than wait a week to get a response up and be behind the
times, I figured I’d strike now while the iron is hot and weigh in on the
issue. Recently, Microsoft has come out and said they want to integrate Xbox
(most likely Xbone features) into the PC for their upcoming Windows 10. No
details beyond that have been explained, and we’re supposedly getting more
details in January.

Reloading: Super Smash Bros WiiU: The Definitive Edition
With Smash Bros WiiU
now out and about, I’ve finally had my chance to play the darn thing. As you
can expect, here’s my review. Yes, I know, pointless because you either already
knew you wanted it and bought it (like I did) or you don’t own a WiiU and never
wanted one to begin with so you don’t have it. There are some of you in the middle
this review might be for… But I’m not expecting those people will go out
seeking this blog to see a review by some random guy on this game they’re on
the fence about.

BulletPoints - Exclusionary Gaming
Being a Nintendo fan, people are under the assumption that I
think exclusive games are all good and that exclusiveness is something all
games should aspire to. Then I get labeled hypocritical when something like D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is an
exclusive and that’s the reason it’ll sell like shit. But I suppose it’s time
to surprise everyone, I don’t think games exclusive to certain devices or
regions or anything is inherently good. I don’t think it’s completely bad
either, but now we need to get into the discussion.

Reloading: Bayonetta (WiiU)
Looking back on the old blog, I realized I never did a
review of Bayonetta (the first one).
Having just recently finished it on the WiiU platform, I suppose I’ll do a
quick review here before jumping into Bayonetta
2.

Reloading: Done With Ubisoft
It’s finally happened. There’s a game publisher other than
EA I can finally say I absolutely hate. I’d even go so far as to say that they
are probably WORSE than EA. Not because they employ worse business practices or
underhanded tactics to make a quick buck. But because they produce relatively
GOOD games while simultaneously jumping ship and stabbing others in the back
without concrete and justifiable reasons. They’re a company that will be your
friend one minute and then sell you down the river the next. EA never tries to
be your friend and we can all see their cheap tactics a mile away. But Ubisoft?
